Ingredients
2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
1/2 pound thinly sliced honey ham or smoked deli ham
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese or Gruyère cheese
1 large egg
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard or honey mustard
1 teaspoon dried parsley or chopped fresh chives
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Black pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the first puff pastry sheet onto the baking tray.
Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the pastry while leaving a small border around the edges.
Layer the ham slices across the pastry.
